Emma K. Sniegowski

Dancer

     Emma Kienitz Sniegowski began her dance training at age three at Swarthmore Ballet Theatre under the instruction of Lori Ardis, Amber Flynn, Aimee Kitchin, and artists of the Pennsylvania Ballet. She trained and performed in classical ballet and modern techniques at Swarthmore Ballet Theatre until age 18, performing principal roles in The Nutcracker, The Firebird, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Cinderella and choreographing multiple pieces for the company’s annual “Ballet à la Moderne” performance.

     Emma holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Kenyon College in French, Mandarin Chinese, and International Studies. At Kenyon she trained in ballet and modern dance, performed in the annual fall and spring dance concerts, and choreographed and presented pieces to original music in collaboration with student composers. In 2016 she studied in Paris, France and trained at the Paris Marais Dance School under Ghislain de Compreignac.

     Emma currently enjoys taking a variety of dance classes throughout New York City. When not dancing Emma works in digital communications for a public relations firm, tutors and teaches students of all ages in French and English, and is an avid reader and writer. She is incredibly grateful to be a part of Axons Dance Theatre ongoing work connecting audiences through dance.
