About us

     Axons Dance Theatre (ADT) was founded in August of 2019 by artistic director Joan Liu with a mission to encourage communication through the art of dance. Axons are cellular structures that transmit signals to target structures. Here at ADT, we see each dancer as a neuron and their art as the axons that protrude and reach all those present (including but not limiting to the audience).
